Tell Your State Leaders: Save New York's Climate Law

Governor Hochul’s administration released a memo attempting to justify delaying and weakening key components of New York’s landmark climate law—without accounting for the billions of dollars in savings and rebates the program is designed to deliver.

What they left out is that the law could move $3 billion off utility bills, deliver nearly $270 in annual rebates to 6.5 million New York households, and generate $57.4 billion over the next decade to reinvest in energy savings, modern infrastructure, and cleaner, more reliable power. This is according to new independent analysis from New Yorkers for Clean Air.

With New Yorkers feeling the strain of rising energy bills, now is not the time to stop the Clean Air Initiative from delivering relief to families.

Email your state legislators today and tell them to reject delay tactics and protect the full implementation of New York’s climate law.
